David Keyser, RA, LEED AP
David Keyser is a registered architect with the State of Michigan who has been providing innovative design solutions for clients in the mitten state for over 30 years. Born and raised in Midland, his passion for architecture began as a teenager while building a family cabin with his dad on Lake George.
Throughout his career, David has drawn inspiration from the work of fellow Midland native Alden B. Dow and eventually worked at the renowned architect’s firm, Dow Howell Gilmore Associates, Inc., for over 13 years. This experience instilled in him a commitment to environmentally responsible design, conserving resources and integrating nature into every project. Naturally, when the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program came about, David sought accreditation to reinforce his commitment which continues to influence his work.
David has always enjoyed working for small, agile firms that allow him to be involved in every part of the process, from conception to construction. This way, he can ensure consistency throughout the project and advocate for his clients every step of the way.
A proud Midland resident, David still enjoys spending summers with his family at the cabin on Lake George and stays involved in the community by volunteering for local non-profit organizations. He currently lives with his wife Laurie and dog Bailey, as his three children pursue careers of their own.
